Love Thy Neighbor in New York Is Designed With No Straight Lines
New York-based Wild Form Design Studio has crafted a sculptural interior with no straight lines for Love Thy Neighbor, a bar next to the Stonewall Inn in the West Village that celebrates the queer community.

The Moonza view
Removing every straight line turns a space into a sculpture: every surface, bench and counter is curved and soft. The approach is extreme, but it shows how organic forms create a sense of welcome and comfort.
For most spaces, a few key curved elements are enough: a reception desk with a rounded edge, an arched waiting sofa or an oval meeting table. They soften circulation and make a space feel less corporate. Curved pieces cost more to make, so place them where they are most visible.
- A rounded reception desk softens the first impression
- Put curved pieces where they are most visible
- An arched sofa in the waiting area feels welcoming
