The Moonza view

The best offices are usually planned before a building is leased or bought. When designers are involved in choosing the building, columns, daylight, ceiling heights and service routes are judged against the company’s needs, and later corrections cost less.

For companies relocating or expanding, this means phased planning: headcount and types of work first, then layout and the number of desks and meeting rooms, and finally furniture selection.

  • Consult a designer or layout advisor before committing to a building
  • Base desk and meeting-room numbers on headcount and work types
  • Buy furniture only after the layout is final
