An Office as a Stadium: Major League Soccer’s New York Headquarters
Major League Soccer has moved its New York headquarters to the Penn 2 skyscraper and commissioned TPG Architecture to make the office mirror the dynamics of a soccer pitch.

The Moonza view
When office design takes its cue from the company’s own business, space gains meaning and staff feel part of a story. Here a soccer pitch becomes the design language, with circulation, gathering points and team areas arranged like play on the field.
Any company can apply the same logic more simply. A construction firm can draw on raw materials, a tech company on clean lines, a food brand on warm colours. Team zones with shared benches beside small meeting rooms strengthen collaboration like a squad.
- Choose one central idea from your own business for the design
- Create team zones with shared desks next to small meeting rooms
- Plan circulation so that work encounters happen naturally
