Cassette in London Brings Parisian Bistro Culture to a Historic Workshop
Design studio Gundry & Ducker has renovated the interiors of a Grade II-listed workshop for Cassette, a Parisian-style bistro in London’s West End. The spacious restaurant sits inside a nineteenth-century Gothic building and draws on French dining culture.

The Moonza view
Parisian bistros are known for small tables, timber chairs and an intimate feel that invites guests to stay. Bringing that mood into a historic building shows how the right furniture can make a large, formal space warm and friendly.
For cafés, restaurants and even staff dining rooms, the dining chair is the most important decision: light enough to move, sturdy enough to last for years and comfortable enough for long sittings. Mixing two- and four-seat tables also adds flexibility.
- In large spaces, create intimacy with small, closely spaced tables
- Choose dining chairs for durability and comfort, not looks alone
- Combining two- and four-seat tables makes layouts flexible
