Pedestal’s Cable Storage Is Worth Leaving on Display

A beautifully arranged desk can lose its composure just below the tabletop, where charging bricks and extra cable length collect. Yanko Design presents Pedestal’s cable storage as a solution worth leaving on display.

The Moonza view

Cables are among the most common desk problems and usually the last thing considered when buying a desk. A desk that looks tidy from above but hides chargers and hanging wires beneath gives a careless impression in an executive office or meeting room.

In office design, it is better to plan power and cabling from the start: where the sockets are, how the cables run and where the chargers sit. This improves the look of the space and makes cleaning easier.

  • Check for cable openings and an under-desk tray when buying a desk
  • Decide on power access for conference tables in advance
  • Keep chargers together in one box, not on the floor
