Cobe’s Copenhagen Studio Adds an Architecture Bookshop
Danish architect Nikolaj Mentze has overhauled the interior of Cobe’s architecture studio in Copenhagen by adding a bookshop dedicated to publications on the built environment. The bookshop opened during the 3 Days of Design festival.

The Moonza view
Opening part of an office to the public, such as a bookshop, gallery or café, turns it from a closed space into part of city life and builds credibility for the brand. Clients and future colleagues see the company in a more intimate setting.
Even without a bookshop, shelves of books and samples at the entrance or lobby send the same message: knowledge and quality matter here. Tall, orderly shelving in timber or coloured metal is practical and makes a beautiful wall. For design and consulting firms, it is the best shop window.
- Place shelves of books and work samples in the lobby or entrance
- Tall, orderly shelving creates a decorative, practical wall
- Keep part of the office open for events and visits
