Goop’s First Restaurant Turns Interior Design Into a Brand Experience
Gwyneth Paltrow has collaborated with Texas-based Michael Hsu Office of Architecture on Goop Kitchen Del Mar, the first sit-down restaurant for the wellness company Goop, designed to give visitors a new way to experience the brand. It opened on 31 August.

The Moonza view
When a brand moves from online sales or products into physical space, the interior becomes its voice. Colour, material, light and even chair shapes should convey the feeling customers expect; for a wellness brand that means brightness, natural materials and calm.
The lesson applies to any company opening a showroom, sales office or branch. Before choosing furniture, ask what customers should feel: luxurious and formal, warm and familial, or modern and energetic. Aligning reception seating, tables and lighting with that answer makes a space memorable.
- Write your brand’s core feeling in one sentence and choose furniture against it
- In showrooms and branches, natural materials and good light build trust
- Treat the customer waiting area as seriously as the shop window
