Crusoe’s Denver Office: A Workplace Built Around a Company’s Mission
Gensler designed the Denver workplace for Crusoe as a purpose-built space intended to embody the company’s mission and values, as reported by Office Snapshots.

The Moonza view
An office is not just a place for desks and chairs; it is the first thing clients, new hires and staff see of a company’s identity. When design starts from the organisation’s values, choices of colour, material and furniture layout stop being random and pull in one direction.
It can start with a simple question: how should a visitor feel in the lobby? The answer decides whether the waiting area is formal leather or warm upholstery, and whether the meeting room is open glass or private. Coordinating executive chairs, the conference table and reception seating becomes the company’s signature.
- Write down three words that describe your company and judge furniture against them
- Prioritise the lobby and meeting rooms, which are seen the most
- Keep one family of colours and materials across all areas
