Renovating old halls for multiple uses is a growing trend: one room for live shows, film screenings and conferences. That flexibility means seating, light and sound must be designed for several scenarios, not just one.

For corporate and educational auditoriums, the key decision is the seat: tip-up seats for easy access, sturdy armrests and, where needed, folding writing tablets for training sessions. Renovating an old hall usually gains the most from replacing seating and correcting acoustics.

  • For multi-use halls, choose tip-up seats with sturdy arms and optional tablets
  • In renovations, prioritise seating replacement and acoustics
  • Design lighting that works for both performances and conferences
