A Printer-Shaped Chair Brings Humour to Furniture Design
Yanko Design presents a chair shaped like a printer, playing on the internet’s use of the word “receipts” to mean proof.

The Moonza view
Not all furniture has to be serious. Sometimes a playful piece is exactly what a visitor remembers and talks about afterwards. This approach is well established in creative spaces such as studios, agencies and shared start-up areas.
Still, such a piece does not replace a work chair. A display piece is for short sitting or for being seen, not for eight hours of work. The sensible approach is to keep the base of the room calm and practical and add one point of interest.
- Put display pieces in the lobby or break area, not at a work desk
- Keep to one statement piece per space
- Choose an ergonomic chair separately for long working hours
